While each one starts with a preconceived notion, no two basses are the same. From the finest, hand picked tone woods, I do my best to create basses that capture the vision I have in my head. During the entire construction process, each will be shaped and reshaped until I'm satisfied that I've created the most comfortable, beautiful looking and sweetest sounding instrument in my power.

Once the instrument leaves my hands, my part of the art is over. My only hope is it will inspire a new artist to develop their art.

After building my second Minuteman, Mike Gagne contacted me to inquire about building him a bass. He spent a lot of time sketching ideas and came up with the original Eidas (named after his dog Sadie.)

Every JAF bass built to date could be considered a "custom" bass, since the materials and electronics were chosen at the request of the buyers. However, these were built to individual designs specified by the owners.
