Once the instrument leaves my hands, my part of the art is over. My only hope is it will inspire a new artist to develop their art.

Adam Tanner has played bass with more bands than he can remember throughout a decade-long semi-pro career in which he always wanted to give solo bass a try, but annoying things like final exams, work and sleep always got in the way. The Zen Beer project finally came to life in 2004 and has been steadily moving forward ever since. Adam Tanner relies on his 6-string JAF MinuteMan for his career.

- My JAF bass is a beautiful, handmade, custom bass that I had built to my specifications with a Moses graphite neck and EMG pickups. The entire process was very enjoyable as the luthiers at JAF basses contacted me regularly while the body was being made and were eager for my input.

Unsatisfied with what he was finding commercially, Jason was blown away by the photos of the first JAF Minuteman and contracted JAF to build him a 4 string fretted Minuteman.
- Al was as wonderful in person as he had been via phone and email, and today I am proud to call him my friend as well as the artist behind my "tools of the trade."

I acquired my first JAF sight-unheard in a trade with someone looking to part with theirs.  From the day it arrived, it's been my main bass, and quickly became my favorite.  There's simply nothing else like it.  Fit and finish are far beyond anything else I've ever played, and it's just a gorgeous instrument.
